The Medion database is produced and continuously updated by a small group of researchers of the departments of general practice of the universities of Maasticht (the Netherlands) and Leuven (Belgium) with a special interest in diagnostic studies and diagnostic reviews. It is, however, in no way restricted to general practice or primary care: A systematic strategy is followed for searching and selecting publications. The database includes the references and abstracts of published studies. Of most publications a hard copy is available for study at the Department of General Practice in Maastricht.

There are three parts within the database (open the codes)

1.       Methodological studies on systematic reviews of diagnostic studies

2.       Systematic reviews of diagnostic studies

3.       Systematic reviews of studies on genetic tests

The database is always in development and will be updated as much as possible. When you have remarks about the database, or you have articles that can be placed into the database, please keep me informed and send me an email!
